A language learning blog, focusing on learning te reo Māori.
I have been learning te reo Māori for a few years now, but I still have a lot to learn too.
I studied three and a half years of te reo Māori at the University of Otago (following the first 3 books of the Te Whanake series) and then studied at Te Wānanga o Aoteroa in Dunedin for two years – hopefully I will do a third year with TWoA this year if it is offered.
I like to read grammar books. To that end, if you know of anyone selling a second-hand copy of Winifred Bauer’s “Reed Reference Grammar of Maori” (1997) then please let me know… I have the “Descriptive Grammar” but it’s so hard to use.
